Salmon trolling season begins here in Finland in early May. Last years have been better for salmon trolling and this summer there was a catch of salmon over 20kg right outside of Helsinki on the Gulf of Finland (Lahtinen & co). Th salmon was caught in Helsinki Trolling Contest 2009.

Salmon trolling areas are middle of the Gulf of Finland almost in the half way between Helsinki and Tallin. There is also possibility for bad weather and in those cases our skipper has right to change the schedule. There is always a possibility for pikeperch trolling between the islands where the wind is not the problem.
