Safety PolicyGeneral safetySouth Coast Fishing Adventures offers an inspected chartered boat with a skipper for the customer use. The boat cannot be hired without a skipper. Our boat Christina (Trophy 2103) has been inspected for maximum 1+5 persons, which means that we can take maximum 5 persons on a trip at any one time. Christina has been inspected as class I for the traffic area III which means that we can operate on the open sea in the domestic traffic. The equipment includes, among others, life jackets, life belt, casting rope, inflatable raft, first aid kit, fixed and mobile VHF-telephone and emergency flares. We also supply the passengers with weather-proof clothing (buoyant jacket and trousers) as well as water-proof boots and socks, gloves and woolly hats.
Group sizesWhen trolling the Trophy 2103 boat can take 5 persons in addition to the skipper. In this case a young person or a child will be included as one person. When spinning we can take 4-5 experienced fishermen at any one time. It is recommended that there would not be more than 4 fishing persons at any one time. For the onshore operations the maximum group size is 14 persons. In this case the transport from mainland takes place in several batches in such a way that there will be 5 persons and the skipper in the boat at any one time. South Coast Fishing Adventures is networking with other fishing guides operating in this field and we try and organise fishing trips for larger groups to the best of our ability. When we are sailing we follow the good sailing practise. We take notice of the onshore residents and the local residents and we do not cause disturbances, because noise can carry long distances across the water, especially in calm conditions. Moving around in the boat. The boat can be boarded and disembarked only when the skipper gives a permission to do so. When we disembark we must follow the skipper's advice and take extra care because the cliffs, piers etc. can be slimy and slippery When the boat goes at the top speed the customers must stay in the places determined by the skipper and they are not allowed to hold the fishing rods in their hands. Closer to the fishing areas, when the boat is moving slowly, it's possible to move around in the boat with the skipper's permission, taking extra care. Climbing on the boat's rear deck or sides is allowed only if the skipper separately gives permission to do so.
